Field Trip

On this day, participants will visit the Canfranc Underground Laboratory (LSC), the Somport Nordic Ski Area, and the International Train Station of Canfranc. A bus will depart from Jaca in the morning and return in the evening. A picnic lunch will be provided for all participants. The bus, picnic, and guided visits are included in the price of this activity.

The LSC (Laboratorio Subterráneo de Canfranc) is a major fundamental physics facility located near Jaca. More information can be found here:
https://lsc-canfranc.es/en/home-2/

The Somport Space (Espacio Somport) is a Nordic skiing area situated on the border between Spain and France:

The International Train Station of Canfranc is an early 20th-century railway complex with impressive avalanche-prevention structures in its surroundings: https://www.turismodearagon.com/ficha/estacion-internacional-de-canfranc/

Guided tours will be organised at each of these locations.
